(PhatzRadio/ USA Today) – The NFL will wait a bit longer to hold its supplemental draft … and former Ohio State QB Terrelle Pryor will wait a bit longer before learning if he’s eligible for it.
The draft was originally slated for Wednesday but has now been delayed indefinitely.
Pryor, who left Ohio State under a cloud of scandal after the NFL’s regular entry draft had already been held in April, was supposed to hold a pro day last week but postponed that amid his uncertain professional future. He’s already signed with agent Drew Rosenhaus, closing the door on his ability to transfer to another college program.
If Pryor is not declared eligible for the supplemental draft, he will have to wait until the 2012 draft next spring before entering the league.
Former Georgia RB Caleb King is eligible for the supplemental draft and could be its most noteworthy name if Pryor is ultimately barred.
